This is the fun part 😎! This is done by having your desired apps send a command to your Gumball via a unique webhook URL:

Webhook URL: https://app-gumball.com/request?id=gumball_xxxxxxx&action=track_1

You can try it directly from your browser, just copy/paste the URL into a new tab and hit enter. This will make your Gumball turn on instantly. (Just replace gumball_xxxxxx with yours!)

Now, to do that from a 3rd party app, you need to create a “webhook” from within that app. This is usually done from the app’s settings page. Simply use the webhook URL above as the destination URL for the webhook you create.

Shopify Example

Here’s a quick example to make your Gumball turn on whenever you get a new order from your Shopify store.

• In Shopify, go to “Settings > Notifications > Create a webhook”
• Choose “Order created” for the event that triggers the webhook
• Add your webhook URL in the URL field (with your own gumball_xxxxxxx)
• DONE 🎉 - Now every new order will turn your Gumball on
